Posted: October, 24 2006, 12:17 PM EDT
Well this is my second mystery box 7 got nothing special but I like this place and the bunch of people that hang out here. I got

- 1 Logitech easyfit headset (logitech is to blame to actually sell something half)
- 1 retractable firewire cable
- 1 retractable rj-11 compaq cable
- 1 6 pc screwdriver set (second one & I hope the last one)

I hope someone gets a XBOX. Good Luck. :D

Well, I got the ever exciting, nearly most useless 2 items anyone has mentioned.

The $.01 LabTech Microphone
Coupled with the $.01 Retractable USB to Random Devices cord

Lucky me...

Hmm nothing great this time around for me as well. I got the miniature USB mouse with the USB expandable cable. I also got a blue MB foam puzzle. Atleast that's something new! I already had some fun with it Smile
Maybe not worth $6 but its still fun to get those envelopes in the mail.

And the mystery box is full of ............a 10/100 ethernet switch. Well, probably close to $6 worth. Better than the screwjob er screwdriver set I got last time. It's only $6, so it's still fun to me. Razz

I was impressed

This time I got something useful. A Dynex 5 port Ethernet Switch, yes a switch, not just a hub. It didn’t come in a box but in its inner packing, probably did it to save on shipping, never looked used. But it so much better then the Logitech ear bud and two universal remotes and two $crew (was does the filter block s c r e w) driver sets I have received previously on different mystery boxes. I almost passed this up, but you redeemed yourself MB!

Same thing I got. I have 3 friends that didn't even bother getting 1 this time around. I guess they were the smart ones. Embarassed

OK...mine arrived and I am really friggin &#&@ed.

First of all...I got no cookies...screw you guys too! I deserve cookies. Bastards.

Second, no balsa wood plane. That would have been the coolest thing I ever. I love those planes...SEND ME A PLANE WITH MY COOKIES.

I did receive a memory card of some kind...memory max? it looks like a PS2 type of memory card...no clue...think it was 512mb

I also received a linksys wireless router with antennas, but no power cable. It had been opened, so currently I am assuming that it is broken.

Trash

Posted: October, 25 2006, 12:36 PM EDT
Got mine -

2 small bungee cords
retractable phone cord
retractable usb cable - phone thingy
precision screwdriver set

All trash (except bungee cords which have redeeming value)

Got the screwdrivers before - know why they're giving them away - they're pure junk - don't work woth a damn. Other items are useless/totally obsolete.

MB screwing customers again - could argue that items are worth $1 (questionable) but $5 for shipping is profitering racket.

Well my MB showed up....

I received (via FedEx):

One (1) Memory Card Slot Cleaning Kit (very damaged packaging) -- Retails for 0.98 at CompUSA -- are these things even really necessary?

One (1) 330W SunPower Power Supply -- appears to be HP rebranded. Brand new, never used. No idea if it works or not, or if I have anything that could handle the connectors for it. EDIT: after doing some more investigation, this is a "Compaq 231668-001 MSL Series Power Supply" -- no idea about new ones, but refurbished ones sell for over $500. I am guessing form this that it won't work as a replacement unit in that old PC running Win98SE. Ooops.

One (1) Head On wirefree Cellular headset. Lacking outer packaging, but otherwise seems complete. Basically a "bluetooth" like headeset that does not use bluetooth. Retails for $130 -- unfortunately it uses a standard 2.5mm input connector, and my S-E mobile does not support this input scheme for headsets. =(

All in all, not too bad, but personally none of it is immediately useful.

It's an orange!! Yes, I really did get an orange (although it might be a tangerine. I'm not a fruit expert.)

Also, I got a Yak Pak Truecore PSP pak. http://www.yakpak.com/catalog/partdetail.aspx?partno=7123

And, just so you know, I did docter the image so you can see what I have. I tried taking pics, but they were either blury or washed out.

FedEx was just here

My box contained a tangerine, which is great as I have a cold coming on!
And I got a handy little doodad that you press on the front and it slides out. You can store your cds/dvds in it.

I really like what I received this time. Every time I clean up my desk area, I find discs without their stupid paper covers. Now I can keep them organized.

Thanks Mystery Box. :D

First Timer

Got mine today. I got:

1. 2-port firewire pcmcia notebook card. Retails at $23. I will be able to use this immediately. Can't have too many firewire ports.

2. 64mb memory card for a PS2. Another item I can use. I no longer have to fumble through all of my memory cards. Cheapest I found was $17.

Defintely worth $6. Smile

trade your usb mini mouse?

Posted: October, 27 2006, 12:22 PM EDT
I've read a few of you may not have much use for your mini-mouse. I'd be willing to trade my retractable cords and/or mini-screwdrivers for one.
