[color-green]Works for pc and mac too, just like a wired keyboarb, includes cool touchpad
review:Pros:
- Great for PS3 AND PCs
- Off button prolongs battery life
- Not using Bluetooth but wireless USB dongle instead, so it:
- Works flawlessly on all PCs so far, even in BIOS
- No software drivers required; recognized instantaneously

Cons:
- Awkward layout of Insert, Delete, Home, End, PageUp/Down keys
- Mouse pad is a bit small
- The above two flaws should not coexist - the keyboard should have had either a bigger pad or normal key positioning (the latter being my preference)

Works great with my HTPC too!, August 10, 2007
By AreYouKidding? - See all my reviews

Fun:
You can also use this great combo with your HTPC. Just pop in the USB adapter and Windows XP or Media Center instantly recognizes the mouse and keyboard. Truly plug and play.

The battery seems to work forever. It's been 2 months and I haven't even thought about replacing them.

I also really love the full-size touchpad. It is much better than some of the gimicky-pointer options out there today. Allthough I still love the dual-design of my Microsoft WEK 7000's navigation pad.

The keyboard layout is simple. No-frills.

Overall a great product!

from a c-net review:
Full user opinion
This is a response to the editors comment: "The biggest drawback of the keyboard is that it doesn't have any PS3-centric buttons (Circle, Square, Cross, Triangle, Select, Start, and so forth) built into the keyboard itself. One major problem with using Sony's Web browser on the PS3 is that, in order to call up the address bar, you have to hit the Start button on the PS3 controller." On a standard keyboard (wired and with the latest update installed) you can use ESC for circle(back), F1 for triangle (to call up submenu on the browser and xmb) and ENTER for cross. Everything else can be navigated from there. I am sure that the wireless keyboard functions the same. Actually navigating the net with the previously mentioned buttons and the mouse would be similiar to using a laptop and touchpad mouse (on the side instead of in the middle of the keyboard).

from uy.com review:
5 of 5 Excellent keyboard for HTPC Tuesday, September 25, 2007
A Gamer from San Jose, CA

I don't have a PS3,I bought this keyboard to control a computer attached to my 37" tv. I searched for weeks looking for a suitable wireless keyboard/touchpad solution to control my home theater pc. Most wireless keyboards require a separate wireless mouse, which is not the most convenient solution when you're controlling your computer from your bed or couch in a HTPC setup. Most HTPC keyboards use an integrated trackball or joystick to control cursor movement, but being used to a laptop I really wanted a touchpad option. This left only a few options- Logitech's own super-sexy, but 300% more expensive diNOVO Edge keyboard, and Adesso's ~$90 Slimtouch lineup. All use 2.4ghz wireless technology, which does not require line-of-site access between the device and receiver, unlike cheaper RF wireless keyboards. In fact, this keyboard functioned flawlessly over 25 feet away, through 3 walls. Setup was a no-brainer; the keyboard was instantly recognized by Windows XP after I popped the included 2 AA batteries into the back of the computer and the thumbdrive-sized receiver into a free USB port. It was also instantly recognized by a Macbook running OS X. I can't speak for Vista systems as I don't own one yet. Keyboard feel is excellent for my style of typing, similar in feel to a laptop keyboard, with just a bit more key travel. Key presses are light yet precise, I have yet to experience a typing error using this keyboard that wasn't a result of inaccurate hand placement. Extras are minimal on this keyboard which is fine with me. A number pad would be welcome, but would add to size. Media, Internet and other hotkeys are a welcome omission for me, as they oftentimes require drivers to function correctly. (I hate installing third-party software for basic devices.) The on-off switch on the upper right of the keyboard offers decent tactile feel, but only moves a couple of millimeters so it can sometimes be difficult to see if they keyboard is on or off from a few feet away. If this really bothers you, dab some red paint or nail polish in the "Off" side of groove that the switch rides on so it shows when the switch is moved to the "On" position. A small LED briefly lights green when you turn on the keyboard, but turns off after a few seconds, leaving no indication whether the keyboard is on or not. There are also no LEDs showing whether the Caps or Num lock is engaged. This lack of lights may actually be an advantage for HTPC setups, as there are no annoying lights distracting you while you're watching movies in a darkened setting. I've only had this keyboard for 3 weeks so I can't speak for battery life, but it seems to be excellent. I was surprised by how thin the keyboard was, I wouldn't pry open a crate with it, but it seems to be decently durable. The scrolling area on the touchpad works well, but I would have liked a larger touchpad area in general. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product especially considering it was the least-expensive viable option for my needs. If you are considering an all-in-one keyboard and cursor control option for your PC, Mac or PS3 and prefer touchpads over trackballs, this keyboard is highly recommended.
