not favorable, June 11, 2007

The phone had a static that made it unusable. Also the clock in the dark was unable to read. When the snooze depressed the light came on as a back ground light and made the time unable to read.
The unit was returned for these reasons.

Very hard to program , I bought it in Dec. it is May and the phone will not work at all . Buttons had seemed sticky . Hard to push . base has correct time date and weather seems right on but phone itself will not register . Tried their website but no phones listed . Their projection light clocks are wonderful I have 2 but stay away from this phone .
HAlf-worked for a week and then fizzled out, February 26, 2007

My unit has never worked as a phone and only worked intermittantly as a weather station. It only ever received a signal from the outside monitor for about a week, then nada!
A complete waste of money - buy something else
Many Problems, February 17, 2007
By K. Hagglund (Monroe, WA United States) - See all my reviews
I am now on my second unit, and it has again broke. The first time the unit just didn't work, so I got a replacement. Now the LCD screen and speakerphone have both died. I highly recommend you do not purchase this product.
This is a great concept, but the temperature reading are way off and the weather forecasting doesnt seem to work at all. It says it is supposed to rain, but the weather forecast is for sun all week.

Does not light up. You can only read it at certain angles. Concept is great, the product is not.
Oregon Scientific cordless phone/alarm clock/wx station, January 18, 2007
By Patricia M. Pyles (Puyallup, washington USA) - See all my reviews
I was looking for a combination of alarm clock and cordless phone and was surprised to see one that was made by Oregon Scientific. When I looked at the price that other online stores were offering this model at and then saw amazons selling price I did not hesitate to purchase it through amazon. The phone has clean reception and the alarm clock is easy to operate with a not so overpowering alarm. The weather station is a bonus. Not difficult to program with easy step by step instructions in the manual. The only drawback is that this phone is in my bedroom on my nightstand that is slightly above my head so I have to raise up to see the display. Otherwise it shows a blank display when I do not raise up. If a person chooses to have this in his or her bedroom and if your nightstand is low then you will not have this problem. Otherwise I would have given this product a 5 star rating. Overall this product is just what I was looking for.

Got this via amazon. liked phone but temp. reading were way off. Planned of returning for new one but good ol amazon said not available ( even though still selling them but at a slightly higher price). Will be returning but not sure if want to mess with untill know if can count on accuracy.
Confusing instruction manual; phone still does not work, January 13, 2007
By CentralOhio - See all my reviews
I, unfortunately, purchased this as a gift. It has lead to nothing but headaches. There are two major problems with this product: The manual is horribly written and the phone DOES NOT WORK.
The Manual: The manual is so poorly written that it seems like Oregon Scientific intentionally made it as useless as possible. Normally a poorly written manual would be no problem because you could ignore it and figure out how to use the product through trial and error; however, here, this product is not the least bit intuitive. It is apparent that no thought went into the user interface.
The Phone: It doesn't work. Period. Despite plugging in the batter and charging the phone the requisite 15 hours, it still doesn't work.
Bottom line: Avoid this item at all costs.
What digital clock doesn't have a light !?, January 9, 2007
By "New mom" after 10 years (Ravenna, OH USA) - See all my reviews
Overall we are happy with this phone. It has a nice loud speaker phone and the normal sound quality is good too. The biggest problem we have is that the light behind the clock isn't always lit. The only time it is is when you press the buttons. So, when you wake up and it's dark, you have no idea what time it is. The weather display is fun to have and it keeps the correct temp. in and out of the house. Another "fun" feature are the ring tones. It's kind of nice to have music play instead of the normal annoying ring. The dual alarm is a must if there are two of you. Or, if you have a different daily schedule. We just put a seperate digital clock across the room so we know what time it is during the night.
Additional notes. Rechargeable NiMH is a NO with rechargeable, and 2.4GHz with routers.
