I love this controller. There is no lag. It feels very comfortable. Not having to deal with a cord and absolutely zero residual effect is refreshing. Logitech got this right. I could not be happier with this unit.
Great product... Having 2 boys, ages 5 & 3 is hard for a product to survive, so far, this control has work wonders for us...
I love this controller. No more wires to get messed up. It is the greatest.
It's the best wireless controller for the PS2. However, comparing to the wired stock controller, it is still not good enough, especially in action intensive game, i.e. God of War 2. I keep experiencing a small lag with the double jump which is not happening with the stock wired controller. So now I mainly use this controller for slow pace games like RPG games. Bottom line is if you really need a wireless controller then go for it, just don't expect that it will be a good replacement for the stock controller.
This controller is wonderful. Don't worry about reception to the base. I can sit about 10 feet away and it works just fine, which is all I need. Response time is just as good as a wired controller and so far, this doesn't eat up too much battery life. Fits great in your hands. Truly a great product.
Excellent Deal Tonight

This is BY FAR the BEST MidnightBox to come out for a long time...The controllers are very highly rated (and for those of you who are new to Wireless controllers....you should know that most are absolutely aweful.)
However, tonight's MidnightBox for the Logitech PS2 wireless controller is simply the top item (or one of the tops items) in the ENTIRE CLASS of wireless controllers.
Don't beleive me? That's cool...as posted earlier...just head over to Amazon and take a look at the stellar reviews and see what people say not only about this controller, but about how BAD most other controllers are.
So what is the big trade-off here....well, it is simply that the item is Refurbished (which often just means a store return...but there is a small risk which is offset by MidnightBox's excellent service. )and no I do NOT work for MidnightBox in any way shape or form....and I am the first in line to dole out the *constructive critism* when I think they are doing things wrong...
Oh yeah, other small downside is that these appear to be white (why would someone make a white controller for a black system?) So these two factors are helping us with meager funds to get some $30+ controllers for less than half that of a NEW black one.
In anycase, tonight's product is a solid hit out of the ballpark!!
Nice Job MidnightBox. I am just trying to decide if 3 is enough (iE: I like to keep a backup just in case one breaks as I doubt I will find this price again soon).

A little late but atleast it's here.
Ok price, But a bit out dated. If I purchase the adapter to use this on the PS3 kills the deal.

This is the second controller of this kind I buy. Works perfectly, batteries last for a great amount of time and delivers ok.
THE... Best! IMO, July 3, 2006

After getting this controller I find it very hard to go back to the standard one.
-The range on this controller is GREAT.
-The response is GREAT, even from a distance!
-Feartures (vibration) is GREAT.
-The battery life is GREAT. I put old batteries in it at first and they lasted me over a month at an average of 4hrs a day!
-The feel in the hand is GREAT. The standard controller might feel tiny and insecure.
Over all I love this cordless controller!
Nice Controller, but Poor Support, March 22, 2006

Fun:
This controller served me well for a year or so, until one of the buttons began to stick. I didn't use it all that much, so I have to assume it was simply defective. It was no longer under warranty, so I called in to see whether I could pay for a replacement part (the rubber "spring" under the buttons), which can't cost more than a couple cents.
Not only were they unhelpful, but they suggested that I just go buy a new controller. They actually told me that I'd have to go to China for a replacement part. Sure wish that Sony made a wireless controller--I've never had one of theirs wear out, prematurely or otherwise.

If this helps you decide...I bought some of these last time around and they work GREAT.
A little getting used to but very close to orginal controllers so it's not too bad.
THey each came in a plastic bag with a receiver...not sure if the recieveres are pre-paired or they can be mixed and matched as I saw no dicernable matching info between controller and reciever.
Anyway, They came with ZERO instructions. Just the controller and reciever in a clear clean (manually sealed) plastic bag.
My experience with Logitech has found that they are some of the BEST refurbs (as far as clean-ness and functionality)...however, Logitech has been know to forget to include something important from time to time...but in this case it is not likely to ever be the case (since there are only two parts
I bought 3 (to have a backup in case of failure). The only downside issue I encountered was that the reciever would not plug into the PS/2 (Saitek) Remote reciever because it was curvy instead of squared off.. But that is not a big deal.
Wireless functionality is VERY accurate.
